NEW YORK - Ten couples will "kiss off" Wednesday in an attempt to record the world's longest smooch. And they'll do it while standing up and without taking breaks. Promoters of the event, sponsored by the makers of a breath mint, said they are looking for the man and woman who can keep their lips together long enough to get into the Guinness Book of World Records and win a week's vacation in Paris, the city of love. The Guinness Book of World Records has an entry on kissing -- Alfred Wolfram of New Brighton, Minn., kissed 8,001 people in eight hours at the Minnesota Re-naissance Festival on Sept. 15, 1990, one every 3.6 seconds.
